COOPERATION DIRECTIONS WITH UNFAO DEFINED

On June 10, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry Ch.Ulaan and Representative of the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UNFAO) in Mongolia Vinod Ahuja signed a document of partnership “Cooperation Programming Framework 2020-2021.”

The document has defined technical cooperation directions to be carried out between the Government of Mongolia and the UNFAO and the sides agreed to partner in the following five fundamental areas based on priority areas and development goals reflected in “Mongolia Sustainable Development Vision 2030.” It includes:

1.     To provide possibility to each household to consume nutritious and healthy food products at affordable price

2.     To enhance productivity of arable farming and animal husbandry sectors sustainably

3.     To improve and activate agricultural value added chain

4.     To use natural resources appropriately under sustainable management  

5.     To create sustainable agricultural system
