THE NUMBER OF SECURITIES TRADED IN FEBRUARY DECREASED BY 85.4 PERCENT

In the first two months of 2020, securities worth of MNT 6.2 billion were traded at the national stock market, which showed a decrease of MNT 29.2 billion (82.5%) compared to the same period year.

In February 2020, 23.6 million pieces of securities worth of MNT 1.9 billion were traded at the national stock market, decreased by MNT 11.4 billion (85.4%) and 32.1 million (57.6%) pieces of securities compared to the same period of the previous year. The total turnover of stocks decreased by MNT 2.3 billion (54.1%), while it is increased by 8.8 million pieces (59.9%) from the previous month.

In February 2020, an average of indexes of the TOP-20 financial markets was 18965.4 units, decreased by 167.5 units from the previous month and by 2492.4 units from the same period of 2019.

In February 2020, the total value of joint-stock companies operating at stock markets reached MNT 2.7 trillion, increased by MNT 81.9 billion (3.1%) from the previous month and by MNT 267.9 billion (10.8%) from the same period of the previous year.
