COUNTRY HAS PETROLEUM RESERVE FOR 40 DAYS CONSUMPTION

The first confirmed case of COVID-19 infection has been recorded in Mongolia today. As a result, some citizens started to stock up food products and petroleum. In connection with it, Deputy Director of the Mineral Resources and Petroleum Authority Erdenebayar reported about reserve of petroleum products.

As of today, the country has petroleum reserves for 40 days consumption, more specifically, AI-92 fuel - for 33 days, diesel petroleum —for 39 days and TS-1 aviation fuel -- for 19 days.

As of January 31, the country imported 196.6 thousand tons of petroleum products at the national level. While, as of February 18, the Ministry of Mining and Heavy Industry reported that the country has petroleum reserves for approximately 47 days nationwide. Furthermore, a total of 196 thousand tons of petroleum products were imported in January.
