ULAANBAATAR PARTNERSHIP WITH RUSSIAN INNOVATION CENTERS DISCUSSED

On March 03, B.Munkh-Orgil, Head of the Department of Science, Industry and Innovation of  the Ulaanbaatar Municipality received Maksim V. Vasilev, Trade representative of the Russian Federation in Mongolia. 

The meeting touched on Ulaanbaatar Innovation center and business incubator sub-centers in Bayankhoshuu and Selbe areas as well as work plan for the development of industrial and technological parks in the capital city. Also, the sides exchanged views on building a Mongolian-Russian joint center. 

Mr. Munkh-Orgil brought forward proposals to develop innovative solutions in line with science and industry achievements, conduct skills training for specialists in the area and create favorable conditions to support startup and small and medium sized businesses by establishing close contact with Russian technological and innovation centers. 

Trade representative Maksim V. Vasilev expressed his readiness to give support for the Ulaanbaatar city developing partnership with innovation and technological centers in Irkutsk, Vladivostok and Novosibirsk cities of Russia. He also introduced about some doable projects in Ulaanbaatar city, such as ‘New Disk’ - online education, Smart Ulaanbaatar and light aircraft. 

The sides at the meeting also discussed about possibilities to expand business-to-business partnership and investment.
