Home News HERVE LADSOUS VISITS MONGOLIA HERVE LADSOUS VISITS MONGOLIA Herve Ladsous has worked at the United Nation Center in Geneva, the Diplomat Representative Agency of Beijing, and Hong-Kong during his career in Foreign Affairs Ministry of France which began in 1971. Mongolia first joined the Peace Keeping Operation of the UN in 2002, by sending two observer officers to the operation in the Republic of Congo. Since then, approximately 6700 Mongolian soldiers have participated in 11 UN peacekeeping operations; 4500 soldiers have successfully undertaken their professional duties in Iraq, the Republic of Kosovo, and Afghanistan. Mongolian soldiers have extended their activity from a military division of 250 soldiers to a mechanized infantry battalion consisting of 850 troops; from observer officer to division officer, communications officers and advisor officers, to a regional commander on 11 UN peacekeeping operations in the Republic of Congo, West Sahara, Sudan, Ethiop, Eritrea, Georgia, Chad, Republic of South Korea, and Afghanistan.
