OYU TOLGOI TAX PAID

Although the surveyor of taxes demanded USD 130 million, Oyu-Tolgoi refused to agree to amount stated. For this reason, both sides have been debated the issue for a long time. Under the “Consultation to Resolve the Tax Debate” the amount has reduced to USD 30 million.  Therefore, during the preparation of the contract for the Oyu Tolgoi Underground Mine (Phase 2) in Dubai, the revised tax amount was accepted; last week, Oyu-Tolgoi paid their USD 30 million tax debts to Mongolian State Budget.
