The 2020 capital city budget was adopted with 75.68 votes during 29th regular meeting of the Citizens’ Representative Khural (City Council) of the capital city on December 2.

The 2020 Budget projects the base revenue of MNT894.1 billion and base expenditure of MNT338.1 billion and accumulation of MNT 319.4 billion to state budget.

Total recurrent expenditure amounts to MNT497 billion with inclusion of expenses  for sectors such as education, health, children’s development and protection and land relations.

Next year, the municipality will attach much importance on improvement of urban planning, infrastructure, auto road, public utility, social sector, public transportation and implementing relevant projects. Specifically, 39 percent of the budget will be spent on urban planning and infrastructure, 30 percent – on auto road sector and 12 percent – on social sector.
