The “Erdenes Mongol” LLC will cooperate with the General Electric (GE), an American multinational conglomerate corporation headquarted in Fairfield, Connecticut, USA.

A memorandum of understanding on the cooperation was signed Wednesday by B.Byambasaikhan, executive director of the “Erdenes Mongol” LLC and Mohamed D. Butt, GE General Manager of Greater China, North and South East Asia.

In accordance with the memorandum, the companies will study a chance for introducing GE’s mining innovations in ongoing constructions of underground mine of Oyu Tolgoi and in other mega-projects, and will collaborate in utilizing GE’s facilities, empowering associate companies of the “Erdenes Mongol” LLC and increasing operational productivity.

Moreover, the companies will broaden their cooperation in realizing projects on constructing railways, water infrastructure, producing energy, exploiting coal-bed methane, gasifying coal, energy from coal and wind.
