ASIA-EUROPE PEOPLE

The 11th Asia-Europe People’s Forum (AEPF11) is underway at the State Palace until July 7. This side event of the ASEM Summit is commencing today under the title “Building New Solidarities: Working for Inclusive, Just, and Equal Alternatives in Asia and Europe.”

The participants of the meeting is addressing key issues of peoples’ development concepts, and the ways to achieve the main goals. These are covering just and even distribution of natural wealth, getting out of mining through securing land rights and engagement, and ways of restoring and strengthening food security.

The opening remarks will be given by President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj. The event brings together some 550 delegates from government and non-government organizations of ASEM member states.
