Home News MONGOLIA-VIETNAM INTERGOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION MEETING HELD MONGOLIA-VIETNAM INTERGOVERNMENTAL COMMISSION MEETING HELD On December 3-6, the 17th meeting of the Mongolia-Vietnam intergovernmental commission on trade, economic, scientific, and technical cooperation took place in Hanoi, Vietnam. Co-chaired by Ch.Ulaan, Minister of Food, Agriculture and Light Industry of Mongolia, and Nguyen Xuan Cuong, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, the meeting discussed bilateral cooperation in economy, trade, investment, agriculture, road transport, science, technology, education, culture, sports, tourism, labor, health care, and disaster prevention, and released a joint protocol. At the meeting that coincided with the 65th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries, the sides agreed to take concrete measures to increase trade volume between the two countries to USD 100 million as a first step to elevate bilateral trade, economic and investment cooperation based on the solid foundation of their political relations. In particular, it was agreed to swap working groups in charge of imposing veterinary and quarantine requirements for export products of the two countries, specifically, deep frozen mutton and goat meat and seafood, in the first quarter of 2020.
