SPEAKER MEETS IFRC SECRETARY GENERAL

Speaker M.Enkhbold informed that the Parliament has revised the Law on Red Cross Society upgrading its status to the National Humanitarian Organization.

Mr As Sy applauded the change in legislation highlighting that the change of status of the Mongolian Red Cross Society has been a role model act for other countries in the region.

Participation of representatives of the Red Cross Societies of the United Kingdom, Japan, Qatar and Turkey in the International Partnership Conference, being held in Ulaanbaatar, indicates a great trust and recognition for Mongolian Red Cross Society, he said.

Mr Elhadj As Sy promised IFRC will promote activities of the Mongolian Red Cross Society by all  possible means at any stage.
