INDUSTRIAL PRODUCTION INCREASES AGIANST LAST YEAR

The industrial production index (seasonally adjusted) was 148.5 (2010=100) in November, 2016, which indicates increase of 13.4 percent compared to the same period of last year, by 14.2 percent compared to the end of the previous year and by 0.6 percent compared to October.

In the mining and quarrying sectors, the extraction of products such as iron ore, copper concentrate, zinc concentrate, gold and coal increased by 6.6- 40.0 percent, and in the manufacturing sector, while the production of bakery products, beer, spirit, milk, soft drinks, buuz and dumpling, alcoholic beverage, printing plastic cards, sausages and railway sleepers increased by 0.3 percent to 2.0 times compared to the same period of the previous year.

However, in the mining and quarrying sectors, the production of molybdenum with concentrate, crude oil, broken or crashed stone and fluorspar concentrate decreased by 3.9-48.5 percent, whereas in the manufacturing sector, the production of major commodities such as pure water, copper, bread, cement, steel casting, sawn wood, articles of iron concrete, wooden building door, vacuum windows and doors, steel and metal foundries decreased by 0.1-66.1 percent.
