Home News FOREIGN MINISTER RECEIVES CANADIAN DELEGATES FOREIGN MINISTER RECEIVES CANADIAN DELEGATES Minister of Foreign Affairs D.Tsogtbaatar Canadian delegation led by Donald Bobiash, Assistant Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs of Canada on June 4. The parties expressed satisfaction with the results of the 8th Roundtable Meeting held in Ulaanbaatar and confirmed their intention to implement the discussed projects. In addition to the mining sector that has leading role in bilateral cooperation, the parties also emphasized the importance of cooperation in diversifying Mongolia’s economy. Mr. Donald Bobiash highlighted that it is optimal to develop agricultural cooperation with western provinces of Canada, the most advanced provinces in agriculture, which have similar climate and soil with Mongolia. Minister D.Tsogtbaatar expressed satisfaction with bilateral cooperation and emphasized the importance of increasing exchange between the countries and training Mongolian students in Canada. He also expressed his interest in cooperating with young researchers, diplomats, research institutes and NGOs of Canada on creation of ‘Peacebook’ online magazine aimed at strengthening peace among youths around the world with the help of social media.
