Consumer Prices in Mongolia Rise 8.8 Percent in August

Ulaanbaatar, September 17, 2025 /MONTSAME/. According to the National Statistics Office, consumer prices for goods and services across Mongolia rose by 8.8 percent in August 2025 compared to the same month last year, and by 1.6 percent compared to the previous month.

 

The data shows that, nationwide, prices for goods increased by 6.8 percentservices by 14.9 percentfood items by 9.8 percent, and non-food items by 8.4 percent year-on-year in August.

 

In Ulaanbaatar, price increases in August 2025 were the highest, with goods rising by 7.2 percent, services by 16.1 percent, food items by 11 percent, and non-food items by 9.4 percent.
