The Bank of Mongolia Purchases Over One Ton of Precious Metals in April

Ulaanbaatar, May 7, 2025 /MONTSAME/. The Central Bank of Mongolia purchased 1,097.1 kilograms of precious metals in April 2025.  Cumulatively, 3.3 tons of precious metals have been purchased since the beginning of 2025, representing a 22.1 percent decrease compared to the same period of the previous year. Since the beginning of the year, the Darkhan-Uul branch of the Central Bank of Mongolia has purchased 126.5 kilograms, while the Bayankhongor branch has purchased 511.3 kilograms of precious metals.

Notably, the average price for purchasing gold in the past month was MNT 364,736.61.
