Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry Opens Representative Office in Beijing

Ulaanbaatar, June 18, 2024 /MONTSAME/. The Economic Policy and Competitiveness Research Center of Mongolia presented the results from the “World Competitiveness Ranking Report 2024” published by the IMD International Institute for Management Development based in Switzerland. 

Mongolia is positioned 61st with 46.3 points in the 2024 edition, followed by Peru and Brazil. Infrastructure indicators of Mongolia for 2024 have dropped compared to last year's. The annual report that has been released since 1989 serves as a benchmark for these countries to measure their progress and identify areas for improvement, offering a clear path towards their economic development but also supporting global goals such as the SDGs and Mongolia has been ranked since 2015.

The highest-scoring country is Singapore, with 100 points, followed by Switzerland, Hong Kong, Ireland, and Denmark. Countries such as Nigeria, Ghana, Venezuela, and Argentina had the lowest scores. 

This year’s Report ranked 67 countries based on 336 criteria, evaluating their competitiveness in four key factors: economic performance, government efficiency, business efficiency, and infrastructure.
