Ulaanbaatar City Proposes Changsha City of China to Collaborate on Large Infrastructure Projects

Ulaanbaatar, June 5, 2024 /MONTSAME/. First Deputy Governor of Ulaanbaatar City in charge of Economic Development and Infrastructure Sainzorig Purevjav, received a delegation from Changsha City of China led by Vice-Mayor Peng Tao.

During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on ongoing joint projects and programs in Ulaanbaatar and those planned for the future.

First Deputy Governor of Ulaanbaatar City Mr. Sainzorig said, “We are willing to collaborate on increasing the city's green spaces, providing housing to ger district residents, creating a new ring road network, and developing satellite cities and special economic zones. These projects will be implemented in phases with funding from the state budget, international organizations, and through public-private partnerships.”

Vice Mayor of Changsha, Peng Tao, stated, “We are ready to cooperate in improving the renewable energy facilities, a facing challenge in Ulaanbaatar City, increasing mining machinery and developing bioindustry.”

At the end of the meeting, the First Deputy Governor of Ulaanbaatar City noted that the capital would be pleased to cooperate, providing full support, reports the Media and Public Relations Department of the Governor’s Office of the Capital City.
