Funding for Some Measures Regarding The Construction of the Oil Refinery Plant Approved

Ulaanbaatar, May 22, 2024 /MONTSAME/. At its regular session, the Cabinet approved the draft Resolution on Some Measures to Be Taken Regarding the Construction of the Oil Refinery Plant.

According to the Resolution, the authorities of “Erdenes Tavantogloi” JSC was tasked with funding the necessary funds for the construction quality control of crude oil pipelines and thermal power plant. Also, Minister of Finance of Mongolia Javkhlan Bold was tasked with financing the necessary costs for the usage, maintenance, and security of the civil facilities and infrastructure constructed as part of non-technological facilities (EPC 01).  Minister of Energy of Mongolia Choijolsuren Battogtokh was assigned to ensure the maintenance and security of overhead transmission lines, substations, and distribution stations provided by the southeastern branch of the “National Electricity Distribution Network” SOE.

As of today, 230 km of pipeline has been installed and construction quality control has been conducted.
