Tavantolgoi Coal Terminal to Commence in the Second Quarter of This Year

Ulaanbaatar, May 21, 2024 /MONTSAME/  The “Tavantolgoi Coal Terminal Stock”, a logistics center with an annual capacity of loading 20 million tons of coal for railroad transport is scheduled to be commissioned in the second quarter of 2024.

The “Tavantolgoi Coal Terminal Stock” will load raw coal mined from the West and East Tsankhi mines for export, transporting through the “Tavantolgoi-Gashuunsukhait” and “Tavantolgoi-Zuunbayan” railways. 

The Coal Terminal will have a Primary Crusher, Belt Conveyors, Stacker, Reclaimers, and Train Load Out Facility, and will use the fully automatic SCADA system which monitors and controls operations. Currently, 1280 tons of coal has been tested to be loaded onto 20 train carriages, reported “Tavan Togloi Railways” LLC.
