New Export Terminal Opened at Khangi Port

Ulaanbaatar, May 13, 2024 /MONTSAME/. To increase the export of mining products, a project is underway to introduce a “Multi-Modal Smart Transport Terminal” at Khangi Port. The project is fully funded by Khangi Eco-Logistics Company.

The project has initiated export transportation operations, with a total of 50 vehicles exporting 5,911.56 tons of coal.

The “Khangi Multi-Modal Transport Terminal" is located 1.4 kilometers from the Khangi border point, 900 meters from the border line of China, and 2.6 kilometers from the loading and unloading area at the Mandal border point in Inner Mongolia, China. It covers an area of 33.5 hectares, equipped with a railway and three entrances for trucks, a three-lane railway of 8.5 kilometers in length, and has the capacity to store and transport approximately 4500 containers.

Upon completion, the project is expected to enable exports through five gates, including Automated Guided Vehicles (AGVs), aerial transport, and vehicles.
