ULAANBAATAR WILL ISSUE CAPITAL CITY BOND

Ulaanbaatar, August 25, 2023 /MONTSAME/. Ulaanbaatar has submitted its application to issue the capital city bond to the Financial Regulation Commission and the Mongolian Stock Exchange for the purpose of raising funds to solve the economic and social problems of Ulaanbaatar.

In conformity with the Law on Legal Status of Ulaanbaatar, Law on Debt Management, Budget Law and other laws and regulations, Ulaanbaatar is planning to offer bonds worth of up to MNT 500 billion.

The funds collected through the bond issue will be used for financing strategic projects and activities such as decentralization of the capital, reducing congestion, expanding the network of roads and road facilities, improving access to schools and kindergartens, improving the quality of life of citizens, and creating comfortable living conditions, reported the Media and Public Relations Department of the Governor’s Office of Ulaanbaatar City.
