FINANCIAL REGULATORY COMMISSION OF MONGOLIA WINS ‘TECHNICAL LEADERSHIP AWARD’

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. ‘AFI Global Awards’ being held at the AFI Global Policy Forum 2022, in which Mr. Bayarsaikhan Dembereldash, Chairman of the Financial Regulation Commission (FRC) of Mongolia, and Chair of the Eastern Europe & Central Asia Policy Initiative (ECAPI) within the Alliance for Financial Inclusion (AFI) - and other FRC officials are now attending, was taken place on September 8, 2022.

The FRC Mongolia wins the ‘Technical Leadership Award’ within the ‘AFI Global Awards’, which demonstrates the contribution and participation of its member institutions in advancing financial inclusion. The award was handed over to the FRC, based on recognizing its leadership in enhancing member engagement and motivating other members in the AFI regional initiatives and working groups, and its contribution to high-quality technical inputs towards knowledge products, peer reviews, and other events.

Furthermore, Mr. Bayarsaikhan Dembereldash, Chair of ECAPI and Chairman of the FRC, presented the ‘AFI Fintech Showcas’ award to the winners. ‘Growth Platform’ wins first place as it showcases promising digital solutions that are enhancing access to, and the usage and quality of formal financial services for low-income populations in developing countries and emerging markets. Nigeria-based Growth Platform has impacted more than 4.1 million micro entrepreneurs and enterprises through credit, grants, and capacity-building measures, over the past 5 years.
