WORLD BANK EXPRESSES COMMITMENT TO SUPPORT IN CONDUCTING ANALYSIS ON TRADE POLICY REFORM

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Mr.S.Narantsogt, the Vice Minister of Economy and Development received Mr. Hassan Zaman, the Regional Director, East Asia and Pacific for the Equitable Growth, Finance, and Institutions on 25 July 2022.

 

The Vice Minister provided information on current economic situation and development policy of Mongolia, including the implementation of the New Recovery policy, as well as the actions in terms of integrating development planning and budget planning.

 

While clarifying progress of the New Revival policy, development policies and projects, Mr.Zaman has extended the World Bank’s readiness to cooperate with the Government of Mongolia to ensure the implementation of these policies.

 

Furthermore, parties agreed that comparison and integration of data on macroeconomic indicators including GDP growth, inflation, and unemployment regularly prepared by the Ministry with the analysis on country's economic conditions conducted by the World Bank's, will be an important impetus in sustaining accuracy, and thereby in precise projection of the economic outlook.

 

During the meeting the World Bank expressed its commitment to support and cooperate in conducting detailed research and analysis on trade policy reform, policy development and on potential bilateral and regional free trade agreements.
