MINISTER OF ECONOMY OF THE GRAND DUCHY OF LUXEMBOURG VISITING MONGOLIA

Ulaanbaatar/MONTSAME/. Luxembourg delegation led by Mr. Franz Fayot, Minister for Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Affairs and Minister of the Economy of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg, is paying an official visit to Mongolia on July 26-31, 2022.

 

B.Javkhlan, Mongolia’s Minister of Finance and Acting Minister of Economic Development, received the delegation headed by Mr. Franz Fayot on July 26.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the expansion of relations, trade, economic and investment cooperation between the two countries.

Mongolia established diplomatic relations with the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg in 1976, and since then, numerous projects and programs were successfully implemented within the framework of government grants, such as ‘Financial sector capacity building and training project,’ ‘Consolidating the Cardiovascular Services and the National Cardiac Centre,’ and ‘Project on establishing a telemedicine network for maternal and newborn health’.

With support of Luxembourg government, about 1500 specialists of banking and financial sector of Mongolia attended the training.
