AUTO ROAD TAVANTOLGOI-GASHUUNSUKHAIT REPAIRED

Prime Minister U.Khurelsukh previously gave an order to improve road signs along the Tavantolgoi-Gashuunsukhait auto road and create proper rest areas for long-distance truck drivers. In this connection, the repair work of 239 km long auto road with a heavy load carrying capacity from Tavantolgoi deposit to Gashuunsukhait port is completed and was commissioned. 

Within the repair and rehabilitation, a total of 48.5 km road was paved with asphalt, pavement layer of which is now increased to 10-12 cm. Also, rest areas and truck stops and road drainage system were newly built.  Thanks to a new technology introduced to fix road’s potholes all-around year including the winter season, traffic accidents on the road reduced by 17 percent. 

 Another complex of rest and service area named “Peaceful parking” with parking space for 2500 heavy vehicle is currently under construction and includes all necessary services and facilities, including social and health insurance, state registration and other public services. 

 In December 2018, “Erdenes Mongol” LLC, Ministry of Health and Health Center of Umnugobi aimag provided health inspection and analysis services for local residents and drivers. Such services are planned this October as well.
