Home News EQUILIBRATED REVENUE INCREASED BY 52.2 PERCENT COMPARED TO PREVIOUS YEAR EQUILIBRATED REVENUE INCREASED BY 52.2 PERCENT COMPARED TO PREVIOUS YEAR According to the preliminary results in the first 9 months of 2021, the total revenue of the general government budget was MNT 11.1 trillion, increased by MNT 3.8 trillion (52.2%) compared to the same period of previous year. The equilibrated revenue of the general government budget was MNT 9.7 trillion increased by MNT 3.0 (44.2%) trillion compared to the same period of previous year. On the other hand, the total expenditure and net lending was MNT 10.9 trillion in the first 9 months of 2021, resulting in deficit of MNT 1.3 trillion decreased by MNT 1.5 (53.3%) trillion compared to the same period of previous year. In September 2021, the total equilibrated revenue and grants of general government budget was MNT 1.1 trillion, increased by MNT 281.7 billion (32.6%) compared to the previous month. The total expenditure and net lending were MNT 1.4 trillion, increased by MNT 306.5 billion (28.5%) compared to the previous month. The equilibrated balance of the general government budget was in surplus of 238.9 billion in July 2021, while it was in deficit of 211.2 billion in August and 236.1 billion in September 2021. In the first 9 months of 2021, stabilization fund revenue increased by 4.4 percentage points, non-tax revenue increased by 2.1 percentage points and the future heritage fund revenue increased by 0.4 percentage points while tax revenue decreased by 6.8 percentage points compared to the same period of previous year. In the first 9 months of 2021, tax revenue reached MNT 8.5 trillion, increased by MNT 2.4 trillion (39.6%) compared to the same period of previous year. This increase was mainly due to MNT 1.2 trillion (83.3 %) increase in income tax revenue, MNT 462.4 billion (28.6%) increase in value added tax revenue, MNT 305.6 billion (24.8%) increase in social security revenue, MNT 207.8 billion (39.3%) increase in other taxes revenue and MNT 149.0 billion (27.1%) increase in foreign activity revenue. According to the preliminary results of September 2021, tax revenue reached MNT 978.3 billion, increased by MNT 195.4 billion (25.0%) compared to previous month. This increase was mainly due to MNT 109.7 billion (2.2 times) increase in income tax revenue, MNT 46.9 billion (19.1%) increase in value added tax revenue and MNT 42.7 billion (61.3%) increase in other taxes revenue while MNT 24.0 billion (26.2%) decrease in excise tax revenue and MNT 0.7 billion (39.6%) decrease in special purposes revenue. In the first 9 months of 2021, general government budget expenditure and net lending was MNT 10.9 trillion, increased by MNT 1.5 trillion (15.9%) compared to the same period of previous year. This increase was primarily affected by MNT 1.8 trillion (23.7%) increase in current expenditure while MNT 358.8 billion (18.6%) decrease in capital expenditure compared to the same period of previous year.
