478.2 MLN PIECES OF SECURITIES TRADED AT NATIONAL STOCK MARKET IN THE FIRST EIGHT MONTHS

In the first eight months of this year, 478.2 million pieces of securities worth MNT 1.0 trillion were traded at the national stock market, showing an increase of MNT 1013.8 billion (31.7 times) and 282.6 million pieces of securities (2.4 times) compared to the same period of the previous year.

In August 2021, the total sales of stocks reached MNT 422.1 billion, increased by MNT 416.7 billion (77.3 times) from the previous month and by MNT 417.0 billion (82.9 times) from the same period of the previous year. The number of pieces of traded securities reached 99.3 million, increased by 83.6 million pieces (6.3 times) from the previous month and by 75.8 million pieces (4.2 times) from the same period of the previous year. The 77.3-fold increase sales stock in August 2021 from the previous month was mainly due to the fact ‘Erdenet tavan tolgoi’ JSC, ‘Mandal ireeduin usult’ LLC and ‘Investor NBFI’ traded their bonds in the stock market.

In August 2021, the average of indices of the top 20 financial markets was 35152.1 units, increased by 2508.0 units from the previous month, and increased by 18433.3 units from the same period of 2020.

In August 2021, the total value of joint-stock companies operating at stock markets reached MNT 4.7 trillion, increased by MNT 757.6 billion (19.3%) from the previous month and by MNT 2.1 trillion (81.1%) from the same period of the previous year.
