INTERNATIONAL SERVICE STANDARDS BEING INTRODUCED AT THE NEW AIRPORT

New Ulaanbaatar International Airport LLC, which was established jointly by Mongolia and Japan, is taking responsibility started working in charge of the management of Chinggis Khaan International Airport in Khushigt Valley, built with a soft loan funding from the Government of Japan.

 

The Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) provided support to establish a new airport management system in Mongolia, which opened up an opportunity for a private company to work in charge of the management of an airport for the first time in Mongolia.

 

New Ulaanbaatar International Airport LLC was established jointly by partnership of Japanese companies and the government of Mongolia under a concession contract. The company will be in charge of the airport’s management for 15 years.

 

All necessary services of an airport such as a parking lot with a capacity of 800 cars, currency exchange, express mail, car rental service, duty free shops, rest area, and lost and found office have been put into operation, informs Head of the Passenger Terminal of New Ulaanbaatar International Airport LLC Inomata Akinobu.
