Vegetables, fruits, grain and fodder plants will be planted on more than 7,000 hectare of irrigated areas. Moreover, over 3500 households are expected to benefit. For instance, the farmers will be supported to be aware of good agricultural practices and gain skills in sowing and cropping vegetables, making post-harvest processing, using water-efficient devices and technology, ensuring food safety, producing packages and value-added products as well as distributing the agricultural products to the market effectively. The project aims to increase income of household farmers by supporting efficient and climate-resilient irrigation infrastructure and improving marketing efficiency.
