COMMEMORATIVE COIN ISSUED FOR THE YEAR OF THE MOUSE

Mongolia like other countries issues commemorative coins in unique designs and small amounts to commemorate special historic events. For example, there are collections called 12 Zodiac Animals, and Endangered Animals - Mongolian Landscapes.

 

The bank of Mongolia recently added a silver coin ‘Year of the Mouse’ that weighs 31.1 g and has a diameter of 38.61 mm to the 12 Zodiac Animals collection.

 

The newly-released coin with a Swarovski crystal embedded in it is on sale for MNT 280,000 at coin.mongolbank.mn.
